Client Preparation
Before your lash appointment, we ask that you avoid using strip lashes for 48 hours prior. Please come to the appointment with a clean face free of any makeup, and no face moisturizer around the eyes. If you wear contact lenses, please remove them prior to the service. It's also important to avoid caffeine before the service to reduce the chances of any twitching or movement of the eyes.
Contraindications
There are certain conditions that may prevent you from getting eyelash extensions. These include eye infections, inflammations, dermatitis, styes, recent surgeries, hypersensitive skin/eyes, cancer or ongoing chemotherapy, head lice, dry or damaged skin around the eyelid/eyebrow area, and pregnancy (at your own discretion).
Aftercare
After your lash appointment, please avoid getting your lashes wet for at least 24 hours. Do not rub or touch your eyes, and cleanse your lashes with the indicated lash soap provided by your lash artist. This should be done every morning and night, after sweating, and after crying. After washing your lashes, dry them first, then brush through. Do not brush them out while wet.
Throughout the day, you may need to brush through your lashes as needed. Avoid using oil-based products (makeup, creams, sunscreens) around the eyes, and do not sleep on your face. It’s imperative to avoid steam and high heat, such as dishwasher steam or heat while cooking or baking. These bursts of high heat have been known to singe lashes.
